Teresa M. Cardenas

Teresa M. Cardenas, 90, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Teresa was a loving and caring person who was devoted to taking care of her family and took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren. Her biggest passion in life was her family, and relished every minute in the company of her loved ones. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and listening to music. Her warmth and affection will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teodulo Cardenas; children, Jose Luis Cardenas, Sr. and Rosa Maria Martinez; parents, Melquiadez and Consuelo H. Mata; and brothers and sisters, Saul Mata, Miguel Mata, Margarita Mata, Virginia Martinez, and Ricardo Mata.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Esther Hernandez, Roberto (Adriana) Cardenas, and Eduardo (Cari) Cardenas; and by her grandchildren, Ana Muñoz, Jose Luis Cardenas, Jr., Michael Garza, Joe Martinez, Maribel Parre, Grizelda Gomez, Lorraine Gomez, Roberto Cardenas Jr., Christopher Cardenas, Christina Cardenas, Eduardo Cardenas Jr., Steven Cardenas, Jeremy Cardenas, Marcos Soto, Brianna Soto, and Andy Soto. Further surviving her are her brother, Jose Luis Mata; sister, Ofelia Moncada; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loved relatives, and friends.
