RICHARD RANDALL FANSLER

FEBRUARY 9, 1956 – JULY 7, 2019

Randy passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on the morning of July 7th, 2019 at St. David’s Heart Hospital of Austin, Texas.

He is being welcomed into heaven by his beloved parents: Charles (Chuck) Norman and Lorraine Fansler.

Randy was born in Laredo, Texas and lived there until Austin, Texas became his home in 1995. Randy was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and held a degree in Political Science. From an early age, Randy held a passion for playing the guitar. His love for music and the band Yes, Peter Gabriel and many others led him and his wife to attend various concerts throughout the US.

Left behind to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are wife: Cindy L. Fansler; brother: Chuck Fansler (Veronica); sister: Anita Averill (Pancho); former wife and children: Margarita G. Cunillera, Richard R. Fansler Jr. (Melinda), Patrick J. Fansler, William J. Fansler (Nikki), Ricardo D. Rodriguez (Jennifer), Maegan M. Peponis (Christopher); grandchildren: Kira, Maya and Daniel as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Randy will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind, loving husband and father, humorist and generous man.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, July 12th, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Prayer service will commence at 6 p.m.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: His doctors and the nurses from 3 South at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and St. David’s Heart Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation in Randy’s name to: The Cardiovascular Specialists of Texas, St. David’s North Austin Medical Center or St. David’s Heart Hospital.
