Mr. & Mrs. Raymond J. Jr. and Alma G. Gabrillo
Heaven has gained another Angel, Raymond J. Gabrillo Jr. (Chino), age 69, passed away on February 8th, 2021. Born on March 28th, 1951 to Raymond and Magdalena Gabrillo Sr. He married his Soul Mate Alma G. Gabrillo on September 1st, 1979 in Laredo, TX.
Raymond made friends everywhere he went. As much of a serious presence he had he had a heart of gold. Always willing to help anyone that was in need. He was known as the best grilling master of the family and his beloved wife, Alma, of 43 years and son Raymond III were his passions.
Raymond joined the United States Marine Corps at age 21 and was Honorably discharged with a National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Expert Badge.
He was preceded in death by: father-Raymond J Gabrillo, Sr.; mother-Magdalena Zardeneta Gabrillo; sister-Patricia Ann G Hosfelt and brother-Enrique Mayers.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife who now joins him in heaven, Maria Alma Gabrillo (12/4/1959 – 02/14/2021); son: Raymond J. Gabrillo III; siblings: Susana M. Moore (Robert) of Buda, TX; Evangelina M. Henry (Steve) of Solomon, KS; Veronica G. Oetting of Laredo, TX; Lourdes G. Riojas of Laredo, TX; Richard Mark (Juanita) Gabrillo of Solomon, KS; brother-in-law: Humberto (Sylvia) Gonzalez, as well as by numerous relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
Heaven rejoiced with another Angel, Alma G. Gabrillo, age 61, passed away on Sunday, February 14th, 2021. She was born December 4th, 1959 to Juan and Concepcion Gonzalez, her parents instilled in her the spiritual and religious way of living and serving God and others. She was a 1979 Graduate of Nixon High School. Soon after graduation, she married her Soul Mate Raymond Gabrillo, Jr. on September 1st, 1979 in Laredo, TX.
Alma was a life-long Insurance Agent serving the Laredo community starting her insurance career at Medina Insurance Agency, Medina-Wright Insurance Agency and lastly at Pena Insurance Agency. Alma had a passion for her job, always going above and beyond to help her customers which in turn became friends.
Alma had a wonderful Spirit, a caring heart and had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Alma enjoyed socializing with family and friends and enjoyed travelling and visiting new places.
Alma has joined her loved ones in heaven her husband of 43 years Raymond Gabrillo, Jr whom she joined a week after his passing to continue with their love story in Heaven. Her parents Juan and Concepcion Gonzalez, her siblings: Dora Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Gerardo Gonzalez, and Ana Maria Sanchez.
Alma is survived by her son Raymond Gabrillo III, who was her Pride and Joy and whom she loved immensely. Her brother Humberto Gonzalez (Sylvia) of Laredo, TX, her nieces Gracie Garcia (Luis) of Laredo, TX and Cristina Sanchez (Moses Rivera) of Laredo, TX whom she always considered them as her daughters. Nora Salas (Ricardo Salas) of Laredo, TX her cousin, whom they shared a bond as sisters.
Alma also leaves behind many other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends, whom will continue remembering her with loving words and warm stories.
