Maximiano Banda, Jr.

February 28, 1937 — August 18, 2019

Maximiano Banda, Jr., 82, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on August 18, 2019. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Banda was a longtime member of San Martin de Porres Catholic Church who enjoyed devoting his time at church.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Maximiano and Jesusita Banda, siblings: Ruben Banda, Ricardo (Gloria) Banda, Delia Banda and Otila (Arkie) Schulte.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years of marriage, Estela F. Banda; children: Rebecca Banda, Javier (Diana) Banda, Max (Marta) Banda, Norma (Javier) Lozano, Selma Banda, Mike (Guillermina) Banda; siblings: Filiberto (Elidia) Banda Sr., Anita Banda, Rosa (Leo) Mendoza, Rogelio Banda; grandchildren: Shaila, Andrea, Kimberly, Javier Jr., Lisa, Mike Jr., and Angel as well as by 6 great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, August 20, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Javier Banda, Mike Banda, Mike Banda, Jr., Angel Banda, Javier Lozano and Max Banda III.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Eduardo Mirando, Dr. Elsa Canales, Dr. Carlos Casas, Nurses on Wheels, provider Sonia Garcia, Mgsr. Alejandro Salazar, Father Hector Flores, Father Elias Sanchez, and Eucharistic Minister Rosaura Vargas
