Irma Ortega

June 24, 1944 — April 23, 2022

Irma C. Ortega, 77, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

She was born in Agualeguas, N.L., Mexico to Feliciano and Rosa Cantú. Irma attended Colegio Commercial Camacho Gomez in Monterrey Mex, a bilingual clerical school where she received high academic honors. She assisted her son in his Tax & Financial Consulting firm until March 2020. Her professionalism and expertise in the field were recognized by her peers and clients alike. Her tenacity, perseverance, and attention to detail were her trademark as she always strove for excellence. She enjoyed walking every morning around Ryan Elementary, meeting with her friends to play cards, and sharing life stories. She was a tenacious friend, a fearsome poker player, and a loving mother to all of her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fernando Ortega Vasquez, parents; Feliciano and Rosa Cantú, her brother Viviano Cantú Cantú, and sisters Marina Cantú Cantú, and Rosalinda († Alfredo) Cantú de Pizaña.
