FEDERICO SEPULVEDA

JUNE 15, 1932 – JANUARY 24, 2020

Mr. Federico Sepulveda, 87, entered into the eternal kingdom of heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020 at his residence, having been surrounded by his family.

Federico was born and raised in Laredo, Texas in the Chacon neighborhood.  He left for the Armed Forces of the United States, having served as a Private in the US Army.  He was stationed in Germany and returned to Laredo in 1955 after being discharged.

He met the love of his life at a later point in his life and married Maria Hilda Castañeda Sepulveda in 1964 and together had two loving children.  Federico loved family, especially his children, grandchildren and more recently his great-granddaughter.  Further adding to his love for family, was that of being surrounded by his elder sisters, who survive him.  Federico enjoyed listening to Los Panchos, family gatherings and overall in summary, a hardworking, family oriented man.  We will miss him and cherish his memory in our hearts forever.

“I am the resurrection, and the life; he who lives and believes in me will never die.” John 11:25-26

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Nurses on Wheels Hospice for their care and attention to our beloved Federico.

He was preceded in death by wife: Maria Hilda Sepulveda; parents: Marcelino and Feliciana Sepulveda.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son:  Edna Laura (Larry) Rodriguez, Federico (Melinda) Sepulveda Jr.; grandchildren: Lauren Michelle Rodriguez, Joshua Rene Rodriguez, Jacob Gabriel Rodriguez, Michael Ivan Rodriguez, Maria Cristina Sepulveda; great-granddaughter: Lilith M. Garcia; sisters:  Rosa S. Cantu and Dora S. Cortez, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
