Ms. Esther Martinez de la Torre, 78, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on May 11, 2022. Ms. Martinez de la Torre passed away from natural causes, surrounded by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father C.J. Refugio Martinez and mother Francisca de la Torre.

She was a loving companion and caregiver for over fifty years to the whole Herrera family.  She was loved and will be truly missed by us all.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday morning, May 19, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.  The procession will depart the funeral home at 10:15 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Reynaldo Herrera, Jr., Ricardo A. Garcia, Luke Worley, Raul Garcia, Ignacio de la Fuente, Caesar A. Garcia, and Roman A. Garcia.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: The Herrera, Garcia, Serna, De La Fuente, and Worley families, and to all her healthcare providers who helped ease her passage.
