Dolores De La Cruz

Dolores C. De La Cruz, 86, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday October 10, 2020.

“Lolita”, as she is known to family and friends, was immeasurably selfless and compassionate, and was always giving of herself to make sure the people around her were well and happy. She was known for her infectious joy and sense of humor as well as her unwavering faith in God.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Petra Medina Camacho; her sisters, Leonor De La Cruz and Maria del Refugio Camacho; her mother-in-law, Margarita Bautista; sister-in-law Ofelia Medina Ramos, and by her brother-in-law, Agustin De La Cruz.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Marín De La Cruz; children, Marín (Dora) De La Cruz, Jr., Arturo De La Cruz (Sylvia Elizondo), Margarita (Jesús) Castillo, Olga L. Ramos (Mike Martínez), Hilda G. (Arturo) Pantoja, Alma Craig, and Martha S. (Belia) De La Cruz; grandchildren, Marín III, Estrella, Diamond, and Marina De La Cruz, Andrea Potgieter, Ana De La Cruz, Angelica Tippett, Laura Q. Roycroft, José M. Quiroz, Jr., Tomas Quiroz, Daniela and Amanda Ramos, Marco G. Mancha, Joey, Michelle, Michael B., Clarissa A. Martinez, Arturo III, Carlos and Priscilla Pantoja, and Andrew D. and Amy D. Leal; and special Goddaughter, Cristina Rivera. As well as 20 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Berta Campos, Juan (Ofelia †) Medina, Jose Luis (Patricia) Medina, and Leticia (Ernesto) Fierro; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives, and friends.

The family will be having a private service on Thursday October 15, 2020 beginning at 8 a.m.to 12 noon at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be held at 10 a.m.. In keeping with social distancing, you may also attend the Facebook Live stream by visiting https://www.facebook.com/JJFC.INC/

Procession will depart at 11:30 a.m. following visitation from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church for a Mass at 12 noon.

Cremation Services will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Ana De La Cruz, Marina De La Cruz, Andrew Leal, Marco G. Mancha, Joey Martínez, Carlos Pantoja, José A. Pantoja, III, José Marcelo Quiroz, Jr., Tomas Quiroz, and Mark A. Zapata.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to her Medical Provider who diligently cared for her in her time of need, Mr. Luis Valdez. Also Esmeralda Galvez & Dr. Marie Sanchez from Esperanza Hospice.
