JANUARY 18, 1963 – MAY 20, 2018
Wenceslao “Lalo” Benavides, Jr., 55, joined his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at a local hospital having been surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father: Wenceslao (Amelia) Benavides; siblings, Andres and Gerardo Benavides; nephew Alberto Benavides; niece Crista J. Benavides; and grandniece Aneela Rochel Lara.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his companion: Ruth Palacios; daughter: Samantha; his brothers and sisters: Janie (Joe) Garza, Diamantina Benavides, Amelia B. (Robert) Moore, Ariadna B. (Jesus) Mier all of Laredo; Alberto (Martha) Benavides of Houston, TX and sister–in–law Sara Sweatt. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to the Palacios and Ledezma families for their care and support as well as the nurses and staff at Laredo Medical Center 2C, especially Letty and Patty.
The family will be receiving friends and family on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. with a Prayer service pending, officiated by Pastor Aragon at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels; 719 Loring at Cortez.
