VICTOR SAUCEDA, JR

February 12, 1943 – May 30, 2022

 

Victor Sauceda, Jr., 79, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, May 30, 2022. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Sr., and Andrea Lizcano-Sauceda, and his brothers Eloy, David, Luis, and Benjamin. 

 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and faithful wife, Aurora P. Sauceda, who until his very last day, remained by his side. Also left to cherish Victor’s memory are his children, Victor Sauceda, III, Maribel Sauceda-Salazar (Ramon Salazar Jr.), and Cynthia Sauceda, his grandchildren, Lisa Sauceda (Rodolfo Dominguez), Kassandra Cavazos, Kristina Cavazos, Vanessa Sauceda, Andrea Victoria Cavazos, Victor Sauceda, IV, Klarissa Salazar, Ignacio, Ibran, Ileandro, Iliana, Edlynne and Iyandel. and his sisters, Hilda and Gloria. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren, Marcos, Rudy, Addison, Audrey, Rafael, Avelynne, Aviana, Isabella, and Stella. Alongside them, his loving brother and sister-in-law’s, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends who were considered family. 

 

Victor married the love of his life in 1965 and together they raised two children. Family was Victor’s proudest achievement and spending time with his grandchildren filled his days with love, laughter, and joy. Victor was an avid hunter and loved playing baseball. He enjoyed watching all sports and cheering on his favorite teams. He retired from the Webb County Sherriff’s Office as a Deputy Sherriff and enjoyed the days of his retirement spending time with friends and family. He lived a colorful life, full of love and laughter, and will be missed dearly. 

 

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, June 2, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7:30 p.m.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, June 3, 2022 departing at 10:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

 

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. 

 

Pallbearers will be: Victor Sauceda III, Ramon Salazar Jr., Homero Ramirez, Michael Sauceda, Rodolfo Dominguez, Marcos Sauceda, Alberto Pena III,and Marcus Sauceda. 

 

Honorary pallbearers will be: Tommy Ochoa, Alberto Pena Jr., County Commissioner, John C. Galo,  Ibran Idrogo and Manuel Sauceda.

 

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Jesse Coe FNP, Dr. Carlos Hornedo, the caring staff at Doctors Hospital, staff at Altus Hospice Care, and staff at Alfa Home Care for all of the excellent care and attention they provided. They would also like to thank everyone who offered prayers and words of comfort during this difficult time.
