Victor Manuel Guevara

It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of Victor Manuel Guevara, who departed this life on February 9, 2026, at the age of 63. Victor was born on October 10, 1962, and was a cherished son, husband, devoted father, adoring grandfather, beloved brother, caring uncle, and loyal friend.

A proud graduate of Nixon High School, Class of 1982, Victor went on to build a successful career working for various oilfield companies throughout his life. His easygoing nature and genuine warmth allowed him to forge lasting relationships, and he possessed the unique ability to connect with anyone he met.

Victor found immense joy in spending time at the beach with his sons, creating precious memories that will forever be held dear in their hearts. He was also an avid traveler, exploring new places and experiences that enriched his life. His love for excitement led him to the casinos, where he embraced the thrill of chance with enthusiasm. 

Victor was a man of many passions. He brought joy to those around him with his infectious humor and was known as the life of the party. His love for heavy music resonated throughout his life, and his remarkable skills on the grill were the highlight of countless family gatherings, particularly cherished BBQs with his family and friends. Victor’s beloved goldendoodle, Russell, was a constant companion, and the bond they shared exemplified his love for animals and family alike.

Victor Manuel Guevara will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reymundo Guevara.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years of marriage, Araceli J. Arellano; his children, Laura (Jose) Molina, Victor Guevara Jr., Armando (Alexia) Guevara, Michael (Krystal) Guevara, and Leeza Guevara; his grandchildren, Samantha Guevara, Natalee Guevara, Gia Molina, Jose Molina Jr., Noah Molina, Adalynn Molina, Armando Guevara Jr., Aurora Guevara, Amelia Guevara, Scarlett Battistata, Raul Gallegos Jr., and Maya Molina; his stepchildren, Sandra Arellano, Gerardo (Karen) Arellano Jr., Kimberly Arellano, Melanie Arellano, and Mark Muñoz; and his stepgrandchildren, Kaylie Rodriguez, Mason Muñoz, Jason Muñoz, and Gerardo Arellano III; his mother, Concepcion “Mama Connie” Liendo; and his siblings, Andrea (Nona) Arellano, Araceli Garcia, Reymundo (Elsa) Guevara, Elvira Juarez, Jose “Chema” (Gloria) Guevara, and Alfonso (Marissa) Guevara; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, February 13, 2026 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday morning, February 14, 2026 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin De Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Armando Guevara, Michael Guevara, Victor Guevara, Jose Molina, Gerardo Arellano, and Mark Muñoz.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: the ICU staff at Laredo Medical Center.
