Valentin Garcia

Mr. Valentin Garcia Gomez, 95, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Erculano and Teresa Gomez Garcia; daughter Rosa B. Gonzalez; granddaughter Yvette Gonzalez; and his son-in-law, Rodolfo Gonzalez, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Cadena Garcia; daughters, Maria Teresa (Eloy) Chapa, Jr., Maria Elma (Carlos) Cirlos, Graciela (Alvaro +) Lopez, Hilda Garcia Lara; sons, Jose Luis (Maria del Refugio) Garcia, Valentin (Gloria) Garcia, Jr., Ramon Antonio (Bertha) Garcia, Mario (Adriana) Garcia, Homero (Sonia Maribel) Garcia, Humberto Garcia; 35 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Celia Cadena; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 5 to 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez; with a Rosary at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 departing the funeral home at 8:40 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
