Teodoro H. Olivarez, 66, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his life and devoted wife, Alma, and his loving son, Homero.

Ted's legacy extends to a large, extended family and countless friends who were touched by his kindness, humility, and generous spirit. Ted graduated from Falfurrias High School and later from Texas A&I University, Kingsville, TX. He graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration before launching a long and respected career in the banking industry. He worked at the Naval Air Station in Kingsville, TX. He later started his banking career at Falfurrias State Bank in Falfurrias, TX. Then, he ultimately worked for Wells Fargo Bank as a loan officer and a work director for personal lines and loans for over 29 years, and retired in 2023. Ted's hobbies included repairing vehicles, collecting coins, hunting, gardening, and barbecuing for family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrosio and Eloisa Olivarez, and his brother, Gabriel Rodriguez

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 28 years of marriage, Alma R Olivarez of Las Vegas, NV; his children, Homero Teodoro Olivarez of Las Vegas, NV, Teodoro Ambrosio Olivarez of Houston, TX, and Jessica Aurelia (Danny) Carranza of Fort Stockton, TX; his grandchildren, Dacari James Mazone, Xiomara Mazone and Krista Mazone; his siblings, Cayetano Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Alvar Olivarez of San Antonio, TX, Ambrosio Olivarez of McAllen, TX and Armando (Rosie) Olivarez of Falfurrias, TX; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandra (Raudel) Rivera of Universal City, TX, Alicia (Gerardo) Ydrogo of Laredo, TX, and Armando† (Yolanda) Rodriguez Jr. of Laredo, TX; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2026, departing at 9 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
