Teodora Sepulveda Cortez

April 1, 1930-February 2, 2022

Teodora Cortez, 91, entered into the heavenly kingdom on February 2, 2022, having now joined her husband, parents and siblings in the eternal kingdom.

Teodora was born in Laredo, Texas to Marcelino and Feliciana Sepulveda and lived in Laredo all of her life.

She was preceded in passing by her husband: Donato Cortez Sr.; parents: Marcelino and Feliciana Sepulveda; siblings: Rosa Cantu, Federico Sepulveda, and Manuel Sepulveda.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children; Donato Cortez Jr and Elsa (Phillip) Dyer; grandchildren: Daniel Cortez, Michelle (Matthew Martin) Cortez, Christine (Matthew Polansky); great-grandchildren: Ashley Cortez and Camila Polansky, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Procession will depart on Wednesday morning, February 9, 2022, from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church, 1105 Tilden Ave., for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Donato Cortez, Jr., Daniel Cortez, Matthew Martin, Matthew Polansky, Larry Rodriguez, Joshua Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, and Michael Rodriguez.
