Mr. Stephen Arevalo, 46, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Midland, Texas. Steve was an exemplary husband, father, sibling, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, friend and person. He was born on August 31, 1972 in Madelia, MN and resided in Laredo, TX for most of his life. Stephen was a hardworking Oilfield worker, employed with C&J Energy Services. He was full of life, had a beautiful sense of humor, and an infectious smile, which said a lot about him. He was thoughtful, kind, and loving, putting others before himself. Steve would make any situation seem right. He was generous and giving, even till the very end by being a registered organ donor. He was adventurous, loved the outdoors, and was a true Cowboys fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his loving wife and children.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him: Amelia and Margarito Hernandez; mother: Mary Hernandez and sister: Santa Magdalena Gonzalez.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his spouse of 4 years of marriage: Melissa M. Arevalo; children: April, Javier, Edgar and Abigail Arevalo; brothers: Roberto (Lupita) Gonzalez, Julian (Anna) Gonzalez, Jr., Jesus (Patricia) Gonzalez, Zack (Lety) Gonzalez; mother and father in law: Javier (Lamar) Montalvo, sister in law: Lori (Oscar) Moreno, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

The procession will depart at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
