San Juanita Mendoza

October 22, 1954 — August 29, 2025

Laredo, Texas

San Juanita Mendoza, 70, Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 29, 2025.

A devoted follower of Christ, San Juanita was a pillar of Templo El Salvador, where she faithfully served for 48 years. Her life was a shining example of a servant’s heart, humble and unwavering in her devotion to God.

Throughout her years of ministry, San Juanita served in many roles: church deacon, Sunday School teacher to children, youth, and adults, Praise and Worship leader, Sunday School Superintendent, secretary, and occasionally preach. Her dedication touched countless lives and left an enduring mark on the church community she loved.

San Juanita dedicated 49 years of her life to the Webb County Appraisal District. She began her career as a data entry clerk and, through hard work and commitment, advanced to customer service supervisor and customer service liaison. She was known for her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for her customers and employees. San Juanita performed her work with integrity, compassion, and excellence, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and community.

San Juanita’s greatest joy was serving the Lord and extending His love to others. She lived her faith daily through kindness, compassion, and a deep love for her family, friends, coworkers, and all who crossed her path. She taught us not only how to serve God faithfully, but also how to see and cherish the value in others, making each person feel special and loved.

Her departure leaves a great void, yet her legacy of faith, love, service, and dedication will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. We rejoice in knowing she has gone to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Juan Francisco and Blanca Benavides and siblings Mario Alberto Benavides and Maricela Benavides.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Manuel Mendoza Sr.; daughter, Christine (Roberto) Perez; son, Victor Manuel (Sarai) Mendoza Jr.; and her cherished grandchildren, Jacquelynn Amelie Mendoza and Victor Manuel Mendoza III.

Also keeping her memory alive are her siblings Maria (Antonio) Rivera, Blanca (Matias) Buentello, and Leticia Benavides.
