Mr. Sabas Ignacio Viera entered into our Lord’s heavenly Kingdom on May 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife, Sylvia of 50 years and his close family members. His recognitions include honorably serving his country in the Army National Guard and starting his own business (Quality Glass) which proudly served the Laredo Community for more than 45 years. He was a member of the Quarter House #2 8-Ball League and was champion several times.  “Nacho,” as he was fondly known was a devoted son, loving brother, and brother-in-law and a husband that adored his wife, Sylvia. As an uncle his heart gravitated towards the love of all his nieces and nephews that provided much happiness to him. “Nacho” will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten. Love you, Nacho.

He was preceded in passing by: his parents Ignacio and Maria Guadalupe Viera.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Silveria Viera; his siblings, Rosario († George) Silva, Victoria († Russell) Libby, Mary († Dennis) Brouhard, Diana (Jose Luis) Barrera, Fernando Viera, Margie (David) Corkran, Gerardo (Elli) Viera, Ricardo Viera, and Eduardo († Alicia) Viera; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, June 9, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday morning, June 10, 2023 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Juan Ricardo Ramos, Jr., Ruben Montiel, Jr., Eduardo Viera, and Jose Luis Barrera, Jr.
