Rosa Peña Ramos

Rosa Peña Ramos passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, at her home on June 20, 2026.

Rosa was a woman who was full of life, energy, and joy. She had a vibrant spirit that lit up the room and often made her the center of attention in any room she entered. She enjoyed laughing, dancing, playing bingo, Lotería, and poker with friends and family.

As a mother, Rosa was very loving, always supportive, and protective of her children. As a grandparent, her playful and youthful presence really stood out. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was blessed to spend time with them.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Hector Peña and Juan Alfredo Peña, and her father, Vicente Peña.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus Basilio Ramos-Lalos; her children, Cynthia Ibarra, Luis Ibarra Jr. (Viola), Vicente Ibarra (Patricia); her mother, Ernestina Peña; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her siblings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, June 25, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, June 26, 2026, departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Lionel Ibarra, Luis Ibarra III, Robert Ibarra, Anthony A. Lopez, Anthony A. Lopez Jr., Luis E. Lopez, Luis E. Lopez Jr., and Pedro Ruiz.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jesus Basilio Ramos, Luis Ibarra Jr, and Vicente Ibarra.
