It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roberto “Beto” Hernandez, who joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on December 27, 2025. Roberto was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Roberto dedicated 35 years to Orozco Crane and Towing, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic, punctuality, and devotion to his craft. He exemplified a remarkable spirit of mentorship, always eager to teach and guide his coworkers. His commitment to excellence and teamwork made a lasting impact on those he worked alongside.
A man of diverse passions, Roberto found joy in fishing, barbecuing, and the thrill of gambling. He possessed a love for travel, with Cancun being a favored destination that allowed him to make cherished memories with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Hernandez and Benita Diaz; his father-in-law, Agustin Fuentes; and his granddaughter, Ximena Fuentes.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years of marriage, Monica Hernandez; his children, Stephanie (Ruben) De La Rosa and Rogelio (Leslie) Fuentes; his grandchildren, Ruben De La Rosa Jr., Mateo De La Rosa, Axel Tadeo Fuentes, and Renata Fuentes; his sister, Lucia Hernandez; and his mother-in-law, Irma Fuentes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, January 2, 2026 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday morning, January 3, 2026 departing at 10 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Rogelio Fuentes, Ruben De La Rosa, Rogelio Alvarez, Francisco Fuentes, Ruben De La Rosa Jr., Ricardo Orozco, Joe Orozco Jr. and Francisco Suarez.
