Robert Kenneth Flores, Sr.

October 8, 1968 — August 2, 2020

On Sunday, August 02, 2020, the Flores Family lost the youngest of ten children, our brother, Robert Kenneth “Bob” Flores, Sr.

Bob was born on October 08, 1968 at the Torrejon AFB Hospital in Madrid, Spain.  He loved being born there, and it was always one of his bragging points.  Our family returned to Laredo AFB, Texas in June of 1972 when Bob was just a toddler.

Bob attended schools in the United Independent School District and spent his high school years as a member of the United HS Longhorn Band under the direction of then band director, Javier R. Vera. He studied at Laredo Community College, and was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas. He was our little brother, the baby of the family.  We lost him too soon.  He was only 51 years old.  His soft voice, big smile, and kind disposition will be missed.  As his older siblings, we are still trying to make sense of his passing.

Bob was a single parent who adored his only son, Robert Kenneth Flores, Jr.  He doted on him.  Where you would see one, you’d see the other.  Two best buds… Forever.

He loved his dogs (coming from a pet loving family), his Chihuahua named Happiness and his Jack Russell Terrier named Snowy, and they loved him dearly as well.

Bob supervised two FB sites, Taco Empire Community, and Food Porn, which he administered with enthusiasm and passion. Bob loved his comfort food!

At this time, we ask for your prayers, for his soul, as he joins our father, Ret. MSGT. Margarito (Marty) C. Flores, and for all who loved him, especially Mom, who will miss her baby, and our family. Thank you for reading this and thinking of him. God bless you all.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved son, Robert Kenneth Flores, Jr.; mother, Lilia S. Flores; siblings, Michael M. Flores, Margaret M. Flores, Deborah Ann Flores, Linda D. (Javier R.) Vera, Senator Peter P. (Elizabeth) Flores, Patricia D. Proa, Julia Lee (Dan) Williams, Joan Marie Flores, and James (Martha D.) Flores.

Private Services will be held at a later date.
