Ricardo Vasquez, 48, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, August 24,2025 in Dallas, Texas.
Ricky as he was known, was a cherished son, beloved brother and friend, and an unwavering supporter of his alma mater Texas A&M University in College Station. Ricky graduated from J.W. Nixon High School Class of 1995. Ricky was a graduate of the Fighting 'Texas Aggie Class of 2000 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
An Aggie through and through, he was a proud member of Corps of Cadets and embraced the true essence of camaraderie and community. Ricky later earned a M.ED. from Concordia University. His Aggie spirit shone brightly in everything he did, inspiring those around him with his passion and loyalty. Early mornings spent along the Texas A&M campus and spirited Same days became cherished memories that highlighted his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Ricky was not just an Aggie alumni; he embraced life with an open heart, where kindness flowed effortlessly through him as he inspired and uplifted others with his sense of community, spirit, love, and laughter.
As per his family at Monument Realty, Ricky had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and encouraged. He radiated joy and left people better than he found them. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unshakeable spirit that will continue to inspire us all. He lived life to the fullest and would light up a room as he entered with that beautiful smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Maria de Jesus Vasquez and his beloved maternal grandmother, Felicitas Guevara Castro.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Adriana (Juan Ruben) Salazar, Felipe Vasquez, Jr., lrene (Jimmy Rocha) Vasquez, and Rene (Melissa) Vasquez. Former sister-in-law, Thelma Sanchez, Aunt, Lucia Santos; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, September 1, 2025 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2025 departing at 9a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30a.m.
Cremation will be held at a later date.
