Prudencio Salas

Mr. Prudencio Salas, 103, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

Mr. Salas was employed at Southwestern Motor Transport for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Salas and Luisa Callejas de Salas; step-mother Elena Salas; son Jorge Raul Salas; brother Pedro Salas; half-brother Antonio Salas; half-sisters, Angelina Salas de Vasquez (Vicente), Socorro Salas de Hernandez (Napoleon); and cousins, Felipe Salinas, Tomas Salinas, Alejandro Salinas, and Tita Sanchez.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Norma Rosario Salas; half-brother Carlos Salas; and various nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Diego Menchaca and his staff; his caregivers, Liz Gonzalez, Diana Alto, Maria Gonzalez, Flor Garcia; and the staff of Casa Nuestra Gente Adult Day Care for their utmost attention given to my father.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, November 18, 2018 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, November 19, 2018 departing at 8:40 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
