Noemi G. Garcia

Noemi G. Garcia, 97, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, May 5, 2024. 

She was a dedicated seamstress for 44 years at Laredo Manufacturing Co. and later worked as a cafeteria clerk for UISD for 8 years.

Noemi's passion for playing bingo and loteria on Sundays with her friends was only surpassed by her flair for cooking delicious meals, particularly her love for sweet bread. She will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose H. Garcia; her daughter and son, Rosalva Moreno, and Hector Garcia; her great-grandson, Christopher Garza; her parents, Saulo and Reynalda Garcia; her brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juan Jose (Rosa Elva) Garcia, Francisca (†Severo) Flores, Hugo Sergio (Mary) Garcia, Noemi A. (Luis) Cienfuegos, and David A. (Linda) Garcia; grandchildren, Ana Laura (Abel) Gonzalez, Claudia (Mauricio) Lopez, Sylvia (Cesar) Garcia, Debbie Flores, Gabriella (Antonio) Salinas, Hector (Dolores) Flores, Marcella (Humberto) Quiroz, Ari (Rick) Valdez, Vanessa (Oscar) Garcia, Cristina (Taran) Navy, Luis (Stephanie) Cienfuegos, Karina (Rene) Rodriguez, Noemi (Erika) Cienfuegos, David (Allison) Garcia, Dennis (Louise) Garcia, Derek Garcia, Jose Alberto (Claudia) Garza, Gabriela (Efren) Garcia, Juan Carlos Garza, Rene (Claudia) Garza, Janie (Eric) Davidson, and Mario (Maribel) Garza; 49 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, May 9, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
