MIGUEL JAVIER CARDENAS, SR.

July 22, 1950 – April 12, 2023

Miguel Javier Cardenas, Sr., 72, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

He was preceded in passing by: parents Simon and Gregoria Cardenas; sisters Bertha Flores and Blanca Cardenas.

Left to cherish his memory are: his loving spouse Irma A. Cardenas; children Miguel Javier (Victoria Ann) Cardenas, Jr., Gilbert (Lidia) Cardenas, Arlene (Juan) Godoy, and Javier (Erika) Cardenas; twelve grandchildren: Alec M. Cardenas, Ana Estella Cardenas, Ana Alicia Cardenas, Omar (Sandy) Cardenas, Elena Cardenas, Johnny Godoy, Edward Godoy, Aiden Cardenas, Ethan Cardenas, Jax Cardenas, Presley Cardenas, Baby Casey Cardenas; siblings Nelda (Conrado) Martinez, Andres (Sylvia) Cardenas, Simon Cardenas, and Leticia Cardenas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday evening, April 15, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Prayer service will commence at 7:15 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard & The U.S. Army will provide the flag detail at 7:30 p.m.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
