Merari C. Lopez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Merari C. Lopez, beloved sister, aunt, niece, and friend, who left this world on September 11, 2026, at the age of 41. She was born on August 6, 1985, and lived a life full of love, joy, and unwavering support for her family.

Merari dedicated over a decade of her life to public service as a case worker for the State of Texas. Known for her compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others, Merari touched countless lives with her dedication and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sabino Lopez and Pastor Juanita C. Lopez.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving siblings, Pastor Maria Teresa (Pastor Jose Luis) Gallegos, Jose M. (Sarah Alvarez) Lopez, Jose Francisco (Miriam) Lopez, Ana Ruth Lopez, Noemi Lopez, Moises (Linda) Lopez, and Josue (Carla) Lopez; her cherished nieces and nephews: Louis E. Gallegos, Daniel Lopez, Cynthia Lopez, Adele Lopez, April J. Lopez, Arabella Lopez, and Joshua Lopez; her fur babies: Rosita, Jr., and Chapis, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives and many friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd, where a Chapel Service will commence at 9 a.m. Procession will be departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.
