Maria Ellis

Maria Graciela Ellis, 71, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, November 03, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was our matriarch and a symbol of family unity. She loved family gatherings and to always be in the presence of her beloved family. As we prepare to say goodbye for a short time, we will forever hold her memory in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Tere Pedraza; and her husband, James “Jimmy” Ellis.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Ellis, Jr., Mary (Pablo Chapa) Ellis; grandchildren, Anthony Ellis and Elin Chapa; along with other loving relatives and friends.

We send a special thanks to her caregiver, Alfonsa Ruiz; and Dr. Carlos Orces for their utmost care and attention given to Maria.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a prayer service will commence at 7:00 p.m.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
