MARIA EUGENIA SOTO AGUILAR

JULY 27, 1922 – DECEMBER 14, 2018

Maria Eugenia Soto Aguilar, 96, entered into the realms of the heavenly palace on Friday, December 14, 2018. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she loved.

She is preceded in death by her beloved spouse: Pete Aguilar; siblings: Consuelo Soto Marchan, Esperanza Soto, Ruben Soto, CPA.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Jose Guillermo (Rosalinda) Aguilar, Maria Anabela (Ruben) Aguilar-Castillo, Diana (Francisco) Aguilar Garza, Leticia (Angel Jr.) Aguilar Santiago, Nelda (John) Aguilar Lopez; grandchildren: Melissa (Jorge Rangel Peña) Santiago, Daniel C. Garza, Alex F. Garza, Jose Guillermo Aguilar Jr., Antonio Javier Aguilar, Christine J. (Benigno) Cepeda, Lauren (Fred Shears) Lopez, Ruben (Alejandrina) Castillo Jr., Mario (Claire) Castillo; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Alicia Soto Lopez, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A heartfelt gratitude is extended to her amazing and loving caregiver and friend: Mariana Cisneros, who took care of her for over a year and kept constant care of our beloved Maria. We similarly give thanks to her physicians Dr. Oscar Perez and Dr. Fernando Sanchez for their medical care and attention during her illness.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will continue to the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ruben Castillo Jr., Mario Castillo, Daniel C. Garza, Benigno Cepeda, Fred Shears, Alex Garza, Jose Guillermo Aguilar Jr. and Antonio Javier Aguilar.
