Manish Jagdishbhai Bhakta
April 18, 1978 ~ August 17, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Manish Jagdishbhai Bhakta, who left us at the age of 48.
Born on April 18, 1978, in Pearsall, Texas, Manish was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a truly remarkable person whose kindness, generosity, humor, and unforgettable personality touched the lives of so many.
Manish built a successful life through hard work and dedication. He operated the Days Inn from 2002 to 2017 and later owned and operated Motel 9 from 2018 to 2026 in Laredo. While hospitality was his profession, making people feel welcome and cared for was simply part of who he was.
On June 26, 2001, Manish married the love of his life, Kajal. This year, they celebrated 25 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories.
His greatest joy was his daughter, Kiyana, whom he adored and proudly called his princess. She was his heart, his pride, and one of the greatest blessings of his life.
Manish loved life and the people around him. He enjoyed food, music, television, technology, Legos, and poker. He was always ready for a late-night meal, a good conversation, a laugh, or an adventure with family and friends. His generosity knew no limits, and he had a special way of making everyone feel like family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dahyabhai Kalidas Bhakta and Revaben Dahyabhai Bhakta.
Manish is survived by his beloved wife, Kajal, and daughter, Kiyana; his parents, Jagdishbhai Dahyabhai Bhakta (Syadla) and Parimalaben Jagdishbhai Bhakta; his in-laws, Surendrabhai and Induben Patel; his brother Jatin and sister-in-law Bhavika; his extended family Nisha & Hemal Bhakta and Avantika Patel & Adi; his nieces Mia, Sophia, and Imani; his nephews Jayden and Arham; and many beloved cousins, relatives, and friends.
Manish will be remembered for his enormous heart, his laughter, his generosity, his love for his family, and the countless lives he touched.
There will never be another Manish. He was truly one in a million trillion—one of a kind and forever unforgettable.
His memory will live on through his wife, his daughter, his family, his friends, and every person fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Manish.
