Luis Alvarado, 86, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Alvarado; parents, Jose and Luisa Alvarado; brother Jose Alvarado, Jr., and sister Mary Lou Chapa.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Cynthia (Felix) Rodriguez, Jose Luis (Juanita) Alvarado, Gilbert (Claudia) Alvarado, Rosa Maria (Gerardo) Silva; grandchildren, Felix Rodriguez, Jr., Roberto Daniel Alvarado, Gilberto Mario Alvarado, Jr., and Brenda Lee Alvarado.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022, departing at 10:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jose Luis Alvarado, Gilbert M. Alvarado, Gerardo Silva, Felix Rodriguez, Felix Rodriguez, Jr., Gilbert M. Alvarado, Jr., and Robert Daniel Alvarado.
