LUCIA HERRERA JIMENEZ

October 26, 1941- January 22, 2024

On January 22nd, 2024, Lucia "Lucy" Herrera Jimenez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend to many, peacefully bid farewell to this world and now rejoices in heaven amongst her very own angels. She was 82 years old.

If you had the privilege of knowing Lucy, you were undoubtedly touched by her boundless love, kindness, and care. She was the glue to her family, uniting them through her culinary passion and a genuine desire to ensure everyone found comfort and happiness in her presence. The melody of her sweet voice, the contagious warmth of her smile, and the tender embrace of her warm heart will be missed.

Lucy was born on October 26th, 1941 in Laredo Texas to Amada and Juvenal Herrera. Growing up in Aguilares, Texas, she later ventured to Laredo to further her education at Martin High School and embark on a life-long fulfilling career with the Texas Health and Human Services department. It was during this time that she also established a loving family with her beloved husband, Mr. Estanislado “Stanley” Jimenez and gave birth to six children.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Stanley Jimenez, children Belinda, Rolando and David Jimenez, daughters-in-law Erika and Heather Jimenez, her six grandchildren Evie, Zoe, Victoria and Xavier Jimenez, Taylor and Krystal Hagemeister and sisters Diana Gonzalez and Maria Garza. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Amada and Juvenal Herrera, her brother, Juvenal Jr. Herrera, as well as her sons, Michael, Javier and Arturo Jimenez.
