Louis H. Pellegrin
March 30, 1951- January 16, 2024
Beloved husband, devoted son, brother and friend, Louis H. Pellegrin completed his earthly journey on January 16, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfredo Garcia Pellegrin and Helen Kahn Pellegrin, by his brother, Kevin Hetland, and by his father, Hoyt Rees.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia G. Pellegrin, mother, Rosa Elena P. Hetland, sister, Julie Rose Hetland, brothers, Michael (Carlee) Hetland, Lt. Colonel Robert A. (Tina) Hetland, nephews and nieces Joel Michael, Jon Louis, Luke Robert, Olivia Tuyen and Lilia Elise, uncle, Andre (Sharyn) Pellegrin Sr., mother-in-law, Amparo A. (Salvador ϯ) Garcia, sisters- in-law, Judith and Anna (Carlos Chapa) Garcia, and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation by family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 27, 2024 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 N. Loring Avenue, Laredo, Texas. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. after which a procession will depart to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2219 Galveston St. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. officiated by Father Wojciech Przystasz which will conclude the services. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hetland, Lt. Colonel Robert A. Hetland, Joel Michael Hetland, Alfredo Pellegrin, Enrique Pellegrin, Fito Kahn, David R. Garcia, and Carlos Chapa.
Honorary pallbearers are Andre Pellegrin Sr., Colonel Joel S. Hetland, Retired, James Andrew Trautmann, Shelby Longoria, Angel Laurel, Manuel Benavides, Dr. Robert Cocke, and Charles Baker.
Special thanks for their unwavering efforts to Dr. Eduardo Miranda and the staff of Oncology and Hematology of South Texas, as well as to Dr. Jose Cruz and the staff of San Antonio Methodist Hospital Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Transplant Clinic.
