Leonel “Juan” De Hoyos
November 16, 1941- May 19, 2025
Leonel “Juan” De Hoyos, 83, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, May 19, 2025.
Leonel was a man of quiet strength and unwavering love. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life barbecuing for those he loved, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time outdoors hunting. He had a deep fondness for old western movies and never turned down a sweet treat. Above all, Leonel cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, supporting them wholeheartedly in all their endeavors. He led by example, speaking volumes through his actions more than his words, and left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel and Guadalupe De Hoyos; his siblings, Jose Angel (Guillermina) De Hoyos, Jr., Arnoldo De Hoyos, and Guadalupe De Hoyos.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 59 years of marriage, Norma Alicia De Hoyos; his children, Leonel Omar (Jeffrey) De Hoyos – Jarvis, Guadalupe († Rodolfo) Molina, and Linda Mireles (Gilberto Cardenas); his grandchildren, Ashley Molina (Abraham Aguilar), Amber Molina, John De Hoyos, Logan De Hoyos, and Alyssa Mireles; great-grandson, Adrian Aguilar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
