Lamar P. Hinojosa

Lamar P. Hinojosa, 91, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, July 06, 2022.

She was born on the 16^th of April, 1931 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, México to parents Hugo and Lilia. Later in life, Lamar met and married the true love of her life, Enrique Hinojosa Calzado and together grew their loving family. She was a jetsetter and had a zest for world travel; she was always light on her feet and had an appetite for adventure. Ranch life was her calling, she had a deep fondness for wildlife and especially adored her dogs. She loved spending time in the company of her beloved family and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Hugo and Lilia Peña and by her daughter, Guilda Moreno Hinojosa.

Left to cherish her memory are: her beloved husband, Enrique Hinojosa Calzado; son, Oscar Enrique (Elsa) Hinojosa Peña; grandchildren, Luis (Janet) Moreno Hinojosa, Enrique Moreno Hinojosa, Aldo (Brenda †) Moreno Hinojosa, Oscar Enrique (Paulina) Hinojosa Richer, and Elsa (Rogelio Gonzalez) Hinojosa Richer; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning, July 13, 2022 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Everyone attending is invited to meet at church.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa & Staff and to Superior Nursing Care for the excellent attention they provided during her time of need.
