Laisha Renee Garza

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Laisha Renee Garza, who left this world peacefully on September 22, 2026, at the tender age of six. Born on October 19, 2019, in Laredo, Texas, Laisha brought immeasurable joy and warmth to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Laisha, a radiant spirit, was characterized by her vibrant smile and infectious laughter. Known for her playful nature, she had a special love for the movie "Frozen," which fueled her imagination and sense of wonder. Her affinity for stuffed bears was a testament to her gentle heart and love for comfort. Laisha was truly full of life, leaving a lasting impression on her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her uncles, Jorge Juan Morales and Fernando Guillen, Jr., and her great-grandparents, Juan Garza and Fernando Guillen.

Left to cherish her memory are her mom, Leslie V. Moya; her dad, Ricardo R. Garza, Jr., her maternal grandparents, Oziel and Cynthia Galindo; her paternal grandparents, Ricardo R. Garza and Monica Guillen; her maternal great-grandparents, Carmen Perez and Jorge Morales; her paternal great-grandmothers, Juanita Garza and Irma Guillen; her aunts and uncles, Nicole Hernandez (Sergio Cabriales, Jr.), Arleth Galindo, Oziel Galindo, Amairany Galindo, Brianna Garza (Eduardo Ariola), Julianna Nicolls, Bryan Nicolls, and Brandon Nicolls; her cousins, Ian Cabriales, Ariadna Cabriales, and Eduardo Ariola, Jr.; and her puppy, Toby.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, September 28, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026, departing at 9:15 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ricardo Garza, Jr., Sergio Cabriales, Ariel Mendiola, and Oziel Galindo, Jr.

In honor of Laisha’s spirit and in celebration of her memory, the family kindly requests that attendees wear white during the funeral services.
