Juanita I. Treviño

February 5, 1944-August 7, 2020

Mrs. Juanita I. Treviño, devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the age of 76. She was very loving, caring, and compassionate, and fiercely devoted to her family.  She had a smile that could light up any room you entered!

She loved Laredo and her community, was a proud Tiger of Martin High, class of 1962. Juanita met the love of her life, Esteban, and after a long courtship, they married in 1966. She was actively involved with the band parents association of Martin High School and was part of the organization Sociedad de Adoracion Nocturna at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.  She helped assist with clerical duties at the family business, Treviño Key Service, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Esteban V. Treviño; parents, Alejandro and Julia Yruegas; twin daughters, Sara Alicia Treviño and Ana Laura Treviño; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Carmen Treviño, Benito and Idalia Treviño; brother-in-law Jesus Campos; and her aunt Gregoria Mireles.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Esteban Treviño, Jr., Patricia Juanita Treviño; sister-in-law, Juvencia Campos of San Antonio, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Jesus and Nena Treviño; and her cousin Maricela Torres of Monterrey, Mexico.  She is also survived by her extended family, JoAnn Rodriguez and the Rodriguez family, and Agustin Gamez.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, August 10, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Live transmission of the recitation of the holy rosary and vigil rites may be accessed on the link of the virtual obituary or by going to: https://www.facebook.com/JJFCHeights.INC/

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, August 11, 2020 departing at 10:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to the Nurses at LMC ICU, Marcia, Laura, and Devian, and Dr. Pradyumna C. Mummady.
