Juanita Almendarez Flores

Juanita Almendarez Flores, 91, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Almendarez and Celia Martinez; her daughters, Rosa Celia Veliz and Hilda Alicia Flores; and her sisters, Refugia Morales and Francisca Casarez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Felix (Estela) Flores, Jose Manuel (Juanita†) Flores, Juan Francisco (Rosalinda) Flores, Alfredo (Hortencia†) Flores, Gloria Flores Flores, Jorge (Sara) Flores, and Jessica Garcia (Ramon Arriaga); 40 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Arnulfo Veliz.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez, where a Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, June 19, 2026, departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
