Juan Vasquez Saenz, 77, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, March 23, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Juan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who dedicated his life to his family and to serving others. A proud graduate of Martin High School, Class of 1968, Juan went on to build a long and honorable career in law enforcement, serving his community for over 35 years. In 2009, he retired as a bailiff with the office of Judge Oscar Martinez, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and commitment.
Outside of his career, Juan found joy in the simple things that brought people together. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and had a passion for antique cars, enjoying both buying and selling them. He loved spending time BBQing with family and friends, dancing whenever he had the chance, and creating memories filled with laughter. Juan was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
He will be remembered not only for his dedication and strength, but for the love he shared so freely with those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evangelina Vasquez and Luis Saenz; his parents-in-law, Jose Reynaldo and Inez M. Perez; his brothers-in-law, Jose R. Perez, Sr., and Noe Perez.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 47 years of marriage, Elsa P. Saenz; his children, Juan (Norma) Saenz, Jr., Cynthia V. Saenz, and Melizza (Ricardo) Martinez; his grandchildren, Ricardo Martinez, Jr., and Amelia Martinez; his siblings, Luis (Margarita) Saenz, Jr., Servando Saenz, and Diana (Agustin) Hernandez; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Idalia Perez, Minerva (Hector) Casarez, Ivan (Cordelia) Perez, Alvaro (Linda) Perez, and Oscar (Blanca) Perez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
