He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Manuela M. Garza.
He is survived by his children Elsa G. (Alberto) Cantu, Saul (Norma) and Raul (Lydia) Garza; grandchildren Nelda (Orlando) Paz, Nelly, Myrna, and Rene Garza; great-grandchildren Victoria Chapa, Kristen and Samantha Renee Garza and Evan Paz; and sisters Adela Martinez and Lydia Garza.
