Jose Juan Garcia, 87, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 8, 2012.-Mr. Garcia served our country proudly in the United States Armed Forces during WWII.-He was stationed in different areas of some which include: Hawaii, Philippines, and Okinawa.-He was then honorably discharged from the Army on January 23, 1946 and went on to settle and live in Laredo.-He will be greatly missed by his family.
Jose Juan Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Demetrio and Otila Garcia; sisters, Hortencia Garcia, Angelina Garcia-Botello, Rosa Flores; sister-in-law, Ernestina Garcia-Garcia; brothers-in-law, Alejandro Cavazos, and Heriberto Arce.
He is survived by his wife, Hortencia Arce-Garcia; sister, Aurora Garcia Cavazos of Laredo, and brother, Hector Garcia of San Antonio; sisters-in-law, Audelia (Richard) Vaughn of Laredo, Leonor Arce Sansoni of Mississippi, and brother-in-law, Jose Leonel (Maria de Lourdes) Arce of Laredo.-She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
