Jorge Zamarripa

Jorge Zamarripa, 72, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, March 23, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Del Carmen Zamarripa.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 45 years of marriage, Lucia R. Zamarripa; children: Jorge (Ana) Zamarripa Jr., Selina (Anthony) Lopez, and Lorie Zamarripa (Noe) Rios; grandchildren: Daniel Chavez, Sophia Zamarripa, Jorge Zamarripa III, Audrey Lopez, Anthony Lopez Jr., Noah Rios, and Emma Grace Rios; siblings: Jose Martin Zamarripa, Irma Zamarripa (Jose Amaya), Rosalinda (David) Mata, Jose Roberto Zamarripa; mother-in-law: Josefina Requejo, as well as sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, March 30, 2026 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jorge Zamarripa Jr., Anthony Lopez, Noe Rios, Anthony (AJ) Lopez Jr., Daniel Chavez, Luis Alvarez, Robert Requejo, and Nicolas Avila.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to the Laredo Medical Center ICU doctors and nursing staff and Alfa Home Health.
