Jorge Vazquez, Sr., 90, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Magdalena Vazquez; son Jorge Vazquez, Jr.; grandson Jeremy M. Vazquez; brothers, Pedro Gregorio Vazquez, Gregorio Pedro Vazquez, Carlos Vazquez; and sister Magdalena Palau.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Leonor R. Vazquez; son Ricardo (Elisabeth) Vazquez; daughter Nonie Vazquez (Cecilia Hendrix); grandchildren, Jordon Vazquez, Daniel Alejandro Vazquez, Anthony George Vazquez, Jonathan Vazquez, Jorge Vazquez III; great-grandchildren, Kali A. Vazquez, Sebastian Vazquez, Lincoln Vazquez, Hunter Vazquez; and brother Sergio (Teresa) Vazquez; along with numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, January 8, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, January 9, 2023 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Nippy Vazquez, Anthony Vazquez, Jonathan Vazquez, Jordan Vazquez, Alex Vazquez, and Petey Vazquez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Emilio “Chito” Davila, Hugo Meza, and Ralph Wright.
