Joe Ruiz, Sr.

Mr. Joe A. Ruiz, Sr., passed away on August 12, 2011 at the age of 83.

Previously from Victoria, Texas, Mr. Ruiz and his family moved to Laredo in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Ruiz was self-employed most of his life as a real estate broker and in the small loan business.

Mr. Ruiz was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Noemi M. Ruiz (2000).

He is survived by four sons: Joe A. Ruiz Jr. (Martha), Mario A. Ruiz (Leticia), Sergio J. Ruiz (Nancy), and Cesar A. Ruiz (Mitze). He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Yvonne, Mario Jr., David, Kimberly and Nathan, along with his five siblings: (Vicente, Ignacio, Cleotilde, Bertha, & Beatriz).

Pallbearers will be: Joe A. Ruiz, Jr., Mario A. Ruiz, Sr., Sergio J. Ruiz, Cesar A. Ruiz, Mario Ruiz, Jr., David Ruiz, Ignacio Ruiz and Agustn Sanchez.
