Jimmy Dale Brooks, 72, beloved husband, devoted father, brother, and respected accountant, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a caring and compassionate man whose kindness, integrity, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Jimmy was a loving father to his two children, whom he cherished deeply and supported with unwavering love and guidance. Family was always the center of his life, and he took great pride in being a dedicated husband and father.
Jimmy was also a cherished brother to his four sisters and one brother, whom he shared a lifelong bond of love, support, and treasured memories. He valued family deeply and remained close to his siblings throughout his life.
A lifelong learner with a strong ethic, Jimmy earned his Master of Science in Accounting from Texas Tech University in May 2002. He built a successful career as an accountant and was admired by colleagues for his professionalism, intelligence, and honesty.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jimmy will be remembered for his warm heart, gentle spirit, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maydell Shuman and Manuel David Brooks; and his brother, David Brooks.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Li Zheng Brooks, son, Aotian Zheng, daughter, Kristi X. Brooks; siblings: Donna Jean Tucker, Dan Tucker Brooks, Carol Ann Wood, Barbara Gail Schlegel, and Linda Sue West, as well as extended family members, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.
May he rest in peace.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
