With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jesus Eloy “Jesse” Marin Jr., who left this world on March 25, 2026, at the age of 45. Born on December 16, 1980, Jesse was a loving father, son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend, whose life touched many in his community.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Eloy Marin; his maternal grandparents, Carmen and Ruben Vidaurri; and his paternal grandparents, Hortencia and Jesus Marin. Jesse’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A proud graduate of J.W. Nixon High School, class of 1998, Jesse demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his passion for healthcare, earning an associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from Laredo Community College. He dedicated over 20 years of his professional life to Doctor's Hospital, where he provided compassionate care to countless patients, and furthered his mission of service at the VA's clinic for approximately three and a half years. His unwavering dedication to his work and the well-being of others was a testament to his character.
Jesse was a passionate sports enthusiast, particularly devoted to the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He served not only as a fan but also as a leader in youth sports, having held the esteemed position of Former President of Laredo Central Little League and served as an assistant for District 34, nurturing young talent and fostering a love for the game in generations of children.
Jesse is survived by his cherished children, Glorian Gean “Gigi” Medina, Jesus Eloy Marin III, and Emmanuel Marin. He also leaves behind his beloved mother, Adriana Marin; his dear sister, Jackie Marin Perez; and his cherished nephew, Charlie Perez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many friends who loved him dearly.
The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026 departing at 8:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jesus Eloy Marin III, Emmanuel Marin, Simon Medina III, Rey Vidaurri Jr., Raul Vidaurri, and Ron Vidaurri Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Charlie Perez and Zandr Chapa.
