James Winch

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, James R. Winch, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 75. James was born on August 17, 1943 to Leslie and Harriet (Rathbun) Winch. He married his wife, Karen (Brittain) Winch on December 20, 1969. Together, they raised four children Kara Blueyes (Patrick), Erin Wheeler, Alissa Bradford (Corey) and Edward Winch. He had two granddaughters, Bridgette Wheeler and Ashley Blueyes.
Jim belonged to many families to whom he is saying his final goodbyes. The Winch family, the Rathbun family, his First Baptist Church family, his Aggie family in College Station, his beloved Marine Corps and Combat Marine Outdoors family and his cowboy family in South Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 3rd 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 7610 Bartlett Ave., Laredo, Texas.
Military Honors will be rendered following the Memorial Service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to honor James’s memory and service may be made to: First Baptist Church-Laredo and/or the Combat Marine Outdoors.
