It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Zamora, 54, a devoted mother, cherished friend, and beloved member of the community. Born on May 1, 1969, in Laredo, TX, she departed this world and joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on December 14, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Jacqueline was a woman of immense strength and resilience, embodying the essence of a true warrior. Her journey on this earth was marked by her unwavering determination and indomitable spirit. Jacqueline dedicated 17 years of her life as a Nutritional Aide for Laredo Independent School District, demonstrating her commitment to serving others and nurturing children in their educational journey.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Jacqueline was a beacon of light in the lives of her two beloved daughters, and their family and friends. She approached life with a contagious zest, touching the hearts of all those who had the honor of knowing her. With a radiant smile and a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, she possessed an innate ability to effortlessly bring joy and laughter to any situation. Jacqueline's quick wit, coupled with her warm and compassionate nature, endeared her to all who had the privilege of experiencing her presence.
Jacqueline's life was not without its challenges. Faced with the relentless grip of cancer, she confronted adversity head-on with grace, courage, and an unwavering determination. Throughout her battle, she remained an inspiration to all, reminding us of the immense strength that resides within all of us, even in the face of unimaginable hardship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Zamora and Marina E. Zamora; brothers, Lino Zamora and Esteban Zamora.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jacqueline Danielle Zamora and Destiny Justine Gamez; brothers, Lino (Juana †) Zamora, Ramiro (Mary) Zamora; sisters, Lydia (Guadalupe †) Medellin, Elvia Zamora, Delia (Demetrio †) Escarcega, Ramona (Jose) Ledesma, and Estela (Jose Alberto) Herrera. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Jacqueline Zamora, you will forever be missed. May you rest in eternal peace, knowing that your spirit will forever be with us, guiding, protecting, and comforting us until we meet again.
The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, December 18, 2023, from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2023, departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
