Ignacio Coronado, 73, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on March 2, 2024.

Ignacio was born on October 23, 1950, in Laredo, TX, where he spent his life immersed in the things he loved most. He had a passion for the beach, surfing from a young age, and a love for boating and fishing, finding solace in the gentle lullaby of the waves.

Ignacio proudly served his country in the US Army from 1972 to 1975 during the Cold War, stationed in Germany. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his dedicated service. Ignacio worked as a computer technician at the Army Navy Base in Corpus Christi, TX, where he used his skills to support and protect his fellow service members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan E. and Otila Coronado; and brother, Juan Manuel Coronado.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Maria Elena Nieto, Raul Coronado, Alfredo Coronado, Michael Coronado, and Margie Coronado.  He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.

A Private Service will be held at a later date.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery, 2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572.
