Mrs. Hortencia G. Ramírez entered the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.
A proud graduate of Martin High School, Hortencia completed her education in 1965, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication and service. She devoted over 35 years of her career to HEB, where her unwavering commitment and work ethic were evident in every task she undertook. Following her retirement, Hortencia continued to serve her community by working with the Webb County Elections Office.
A lifelong, devoted fan of the Houston Astros, Hortencia found joy in cheering on her team; however, it was the love and care she bestowed upon her family that truly defined her spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Ramírez III; her parents, Pedro Garza and Anita Rubio; and her siblings, Anita Rodríguez and Pedro Garza Jr.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Felipe Ramírez IV; her siblings, Lucila (Alejandro†) Castillo, Elsa (Armando) Villalón, Martín Garza, and Sylvia (Juan) Cobos; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
