Higinio Garza Mendoza, Jr.

Higinio Garza Mendoza, Jr., 79, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, April 25, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Cortez; his parents, Higinio Mendoza and Alicia Garza Hernandez; his siblings, Hector Mendoza, Carmen Perez, Juan Mendoza, Daniel Mendoza, and Enrique Mendoza.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 46 years, Margaret Mendoza; his son, Jose Antonio (Mary) Mendoza; grandchildren, Daniel (Dolores) Sauceda, Angela (Jerry) Sauceda Newton, Jose Claudio Higinio Mendoza, Anthony John Mendoza, and Alexis Licona; his great-grandchildren, Daniel, Dakota, Dawson Sauceda, and Gabriel Newton; his siblings, Juan M. Garza, Alberto Garza, Teresa Sierra, Jose Garza, Alicia Medina, Thelma Turner, and Enrique Hernandez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, April 29, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, April 30, 2024 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
