Guillermina Mahan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Guillermina Mahan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who departed this life on September 24, 2025, at the age of 85. Her unwavering devotion to her family and her generous spirit will remain a cherished memory in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on February 10, 1940, Guillermina dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her loved ones, always placing their needs above her own. Her profound love for family was matched only by her passion for travel and her delight in gardening, where she found joy in nurturing the beauty of the earth.
As a devout Jehovah's Witness, Guillermina was a zealous Pioneer, dedicating her time and effort to her faith and community. Her commitment to her beliefs inspired those around her and exemplified a life of service and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoriano Martinez and Maria del Refugio Estrada; her son, Michael Lewis Mahan; siblings, Victoriano Martinez, Roberto Martinez, Humberto Martinez, Carmen Hewitt, Hector Martinez, and Ernestina Janott.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 63 years of marriage, Jack Mahan; children, Elizabeth Yvonne Mahan, Judith Dianne (Thomas) Rankin, Ruth Irenne (Enrique Gloria †) Magallanes; grandchildren, Robyn Luna, Nicole Townsend, Richard Townsend, Reuben “Moe” Martinez, Christopher Townsend, Jacqueline Cortez, Amanda Mahan, Anna Magallanes, Michael Mahan II, Matthew Mahan, Bernardo Magallanes, Jacob Gonzalez, 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ramiro Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Jesus Martinez, and Rosa Lopez, along with other loving relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a memorial discourse will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels where a chapel service will commence at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Reuben “Moe” Martinez, Christopher Townsend, Bernardo Magallanes, Carlos Flores Jr., Jacob Gonzalez and Richard Townsend.
